Assisted Living Facility Planned

A developer is seeking the city of Edwardsville’s approval to rezone property along Route 143 to make way for a new assisted living facility. Joshua Jennings, owner of the Metro Asset Group, is asking the city to rezone 7.38 acres of land located at 7108 Marine Road from a B-2 commercial district to R-2 multi-family dwelling. Jennings wants to construct a Cedarhurst assisted living facility there – Cedarhurst of Edwardsville. The facility would have a residential program specializing in the care and support of individuals in varying stages of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.
